Memphis, Tenn. - Hendrix entered Saturday's match with Rhodes knowing that a win would all but clinch a top four spot and right to host a first-round matchup in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) playoffs.
Rhodes proved to be a tall task, as they were playing to secure the top overall seed for the postseason tournament.
Hendrix held the top team in the conference scoreless through 45 minutes, surrendering just 6 shots to the Lynx while manufacturing just one of their own.
The Warriors held tough coming out of the break, but could not hold Rhodes for long as they Lynx were able to score the opener just over halfway through the second half. The home side would add one more five minutes from time to seal the three points.
James Leone recorded 9 saves on Saturday afternoon.
The loss drops the Warriors to the #6 seed, and they will now head to Centre for their first-round SAA postseason match. Hendrix fell to the Colonels in Danville back on Oct. 6.
But before that, they will host Senior Night on Monday, October 23 versus Ecclesia at Warrior Soccer Field.
