Volleyball set to host Sewanee and Centre

Conway, Ark.- It's the final home weekend for the Warriors, as they host Sewanee & Centre this weekend, with the matchup against Centre being Senior Day. The Warriors will honor 5 Seniors Sunday: Sam Friedl, Kyler Greenlee, Grace House, Loren Payne & Camryn Presley

The Warriors come into this weekend with a record of 10-11 & 6-6 in conference play. Hendrix has 959 kills on the season, averaging 12.6 kills per set. Hendrix has totaled 890 assists on the season, averaging 11.7 assists per set. The Warriors have a combined 141 service aces on the season, averaging 1.9 aces per set. On the defensive side of the net, the Warriors have held opponents to 11.7 kills per set, 10.8 assists per set & 1.4 aces per set. The Warriors lead the SAA in Points per set, Assists per Set, Kills per set & Opponent service aces per set. 

The Warriors have been led by Senior standout Camryn Presley this season, who leads the team in kills (179) & digs (248). Senior Kyler Greenlee has been steady this season, leading the team in assists (449) & service aces (29). 

Sewanee

The Tigers of Sewanee come into their matchup with the Warriors with a 17-8 record & 7-5 in the SAA. Sewanee has 1103 total kills this season, averaging 11.6 kills per set. The Tigers have a combined 1026 assists on the year, averaging 10.8 assists per set. Sewanee has 200 total aces on the year, averaging 2.1 aces per set. Defensively, the Tigers are holding opponents to 11.5 kills per set, 10.8 assists per set & 1.8 aces per set. The Tigers also lead the SAA in opponent blocks per set, holding teams to 1.3. 

The Tigers have seen production from a lot of different places, with 3 Tigers having over 200 kills on the season, with Jacqueline Weller leading the pack with 242. Emma Meyer leads the Tigers in assists with 453. Adele Cassidy leads Sewanee in two different categories, with 40 service aces on the year & 411 digs on the season. Olivia Jones has been strong on the front line, leading the team in blocks with 66 & leads the SAA in hitting percentage. 

This will be the 31st matchup between the two schools, with Hendrix leading the series with a record of 22-8. The Tigers won in their last matchup, sweeping the Warriors 3-0. The match is set for 1:00 PM Saturday on the Warrior Sports Network. 

Centre

The Colonels come into the weekend with a record of 16-7 & 10-2 in conference play. Centre currently have 1027 kills on the year, averaging 12.4 kills per set. The Colonels have 920 assist on the year, averaging 11.1 assists per set. The Colonels have 1438 total digs on the year, averaging 17.3 digs per set. Centre has held opponents to 10.1 kills per set, 9.3 assists per set & 15.7 digs per set. 

Syd Bietz leads the team in kills with 286. Emily Gardner leads the Colonels in assists with 703. Madi Barron leads the team in digs with 396.

This will be the 30th matchup between the two schools, with the Warriors leading the series 18-11. The Colonels won in their last matchup, taking down the Warriors 3-1. The match is set for 12:00 PM for Sunday on the Warrior Sports Network.
