San Antonio, Texas - Hendrix looked to end the 2023 season on a high as they traveled to San Antonio to take Southern Athletic Association (SAA) champion-elect Trinity.
The Tigers jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, scoring 35 points in the first quarter and another 7 in the second to go into halftime with a 42-0 lead.Â
The Warriors finally got on the board thanks to a 6 yard run by Auvic White at the 6:05 mark in the 4th.Â
White led the Warriors with 29 rushing yards on 11 carries. Josh Hayes completed 23 passes on 44 attempts for 262 yards. Almonzo Payne led all Warrior receivers with 7 receptions for 90 yards.Â
Keaton Hahn, Dylan Doudt & Seth Hakanson led the Warriors with 6 total tackles, with Hakanson forcing a fumble.Â
Hendrix accounted for 302 yards of total offense while picking up 23 first downs.Â
The Warriors finished the season with a record of 3-7 (3-5 SAA). Â
