Rome, Ga. - Hendrix fell to #12 Berry in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) tournament semifinals in straight sets on Saturday afternoon.
The Warriors earned a semifinal berth after defeating Birmingham-Southern (BSC) 3-1 the previous evening, and entered Saturday's match as one of the few teams in the SAA that had taken a set against the Vikings during the 2023 regular season.
Grace House and
Loren Payne led Hendrix with 7 kills each. House, who also recorded 5 blocks on the defensive end, had notched a career-high 10 kills in the quarterfinal match versus BSC.
Kyler Greenlee tallied 18 assists, and
Adilynn Henry produced the only service ace of the afternoon.
Sam Friedl recorded 18 digs.
The loss caps the Warriors' 2023 season at 13-14 (8-7 SAA), with
Kyler Greenlee,
Sam Friedl, and
Camryn Presley earning All-SAA honors for their terrific senior campaigns.
