Conway, Ark. - The Hendrix Warriors opened the 2023 regular season with a bang, pouring in 42 goals over 2 games to start the season off 2-0.

Hendrix rolled the Centenary Gents 22-3 on Feb. 8 in their season opener before defeating LaGrange 20-13 on Feb. 11.

The Warriors were led by Maximus LaMendola. The junior midfielder was on an absolute heater, totaling 19 points across the two contests with a 71.4 shot percentage.

Spencer Dorfneilsen and Klaus Rowan are also already in double-digit point totals for the year. Dorfneilsen tallied 13 points with 9 goals, while Rowan netted 5 to go along with 5 assists.

Hendrix was excellent on the power play, going 7 for 8 on man-up opportunities.

The Warrior defense caused 13 turnovers and scooped up 33 ground balls off 35 total opponent turnovers.

Hendrix will look to continue its winning ways on Saturday as they host the Southwestern Pirates at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium. Face-off is set for 12:00 PM CT.
