Demorest, Ga. - The Hendrix Warriors hit the road for a pair of nonconference matchups versus Piedmont and Bridgewater.
Hendrix fell behind early to Piedmont on Friday evening and trailed by as many as five midway through the third quarter. The Warriors then hit Piedmont for three in rapid succession with Spencer Dorfnielsen, Maximus Lamendola, and
Tyler Jones netting in quick succession to trim the deficit to two.
Klaus Rowan's goal with 2:44 remaining in the 4th quarter was not enough as Piemont held on for a 14-11 victory.
The Warriors contest versus Bridgewater did not follow suit. The Eagles scored the game's opening four goals and raced out to a 14-6 lead at the halftime interval and kept Hendrix at bay in the second half to record a 22-8 victory.
Lamendola led the Warriors in scoring over the two games, netting 9 goals. Dorfneilsen followed with 3 goals and 2 assists to finish with 5 total points.
Hendrix returns to Conway to host the Huntingdon Hawks next Saturday at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium.
