Birmingham, Ala. - The Warriors hit the road Saturday for a Southern Athletic Association (SAA) matchup with the Birmingham-Southern Panthers.
Birmingham-Southern jumped out to an early 3-0 lead before a goal by
Spencer Dorfneilsen brought the the score to 3-1. The Warriors would then fall behind 8-1 before
Maximus LaMendola would find the net to cut the deficit to 6 to close out the 1st Quarter.
However, the Warriors wouldn't find a goal the rest of the first half, giving up 7 unanswered to the Panthers to go down 15-2 at the half. It would not get any easier in the 3rd Quarter as the Warriors gave up 4 more goals without an answer.
The Warriors finally broke their scoring drought via goals from
Spencer Dorfneilsen and
Austin Williams, but the game was out of reach at that point. The Panthers took the matchup 23-4.
The loss takes the Warriors to 1-4 in the SAA, but the Warriors still remain tied with Berry and one game ahead of Oglethorpe in the conference standings. The Warriors will be back in action this Sunday for Senior day as they host the Rhodes Lynx.
