Conway, Ark.- Coming off a weekend where they won both matches in the Hendrix Invitational and dropped a match to UMHB, the Warriors hit the road to take on Millsaps & Birmingham-Southern.
The Warriors were able to take down rival Rhodes in their matchup Friday night to lead off the Hendrix Invitational 3-1. Camryn Kennedy lead the night in kills (15) with Camryn Presley not too far behind with 13 kills. Kyler Greenlee made a major impact on the match recording 32 assists and 7 service aces, which is 2nd all-time in a single match. The Warriors led in nearly every statistical category of the night; leading with 72 points, 54 kills, 11 aces, 52 assists & 69 digs.
It was much of the same the next matchup, as the Warriors swept Centenary 3-0. Camryn Kennedy once again lead the day in kills with 9 with Carys Shock also adding in 7. Sam Fried led the match with two service aces and 21 digs. The Warriors lead in every statistical category; registering 57 points, 45 kills, 7 aces, 5 blocks, 44 assists & 67 digs.
The Warriors were unable to keep the win streak going, getting swept by the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor 3-0. The Warriors held their own in the matchup, leading the match in points (54), kills (45), aces (4), assists (42) & digs (38).
Millsaps
The Majors come in with a record of 6-5, dropping their last matchup to BSC 3-0. Junior OH Anna Capezzera leads the Majors in kills with 146, which is 1st in the SAA. Junior Zoe Elder leads the team in assists (323), service aces (17) & is second on the team in digs (135). This will be the 25th matchup between the two, with the Warriors leading the series 18-6. The Warriors held an 11 game win streak that was broken in their previous matchup with Millsaps, a match that saw Hendrix lose a close one 3-2. The match is set for Sep. 23rd at 11:00 AM.
