Conway, Ark. - The Hendrix Warriors finally returned to Warrior Soccer Field after a lengthy spell on the road, and did not disappoint against local rival Central Baptist (CBC).
CBC bagged the opener inside ten minutes and held onto their lead going into the halftime interval.
Hendrix would respond right out of the interval, as
Camy McKenzie's equalizer off a dead ball was too much for Bailey Walerczyk to handle.
Mackenzie Sinclair would net the eventual game-winner just minutes later off a Madision Lampkin assist. But the Warriors were not done, as
Laramie Cox hit an absolute stunner from distance off a Hendrix counter for a 3-1 lead.
With ten minutes to play, Lampkin was put through on goal via a lovely ball from Sinclair, and the sophomore slotted home her eighth goal of the season with a deligthful finish.
The win improves Hendrix to 8-2 (1-0 Southern Athletic Association), and they will remain home to face Millsaps on Friday at Warrior Soccer Field.
