Conway, Ark.- The Warriors played host to Belhaven University for their final non-conference game of the season in front of a stellar crowd at Warrior Field. Madison Lampkin netted two goals in the second half to push the Warriors past the Blazers to get the Warriors the win before their regular season finale against Rhodes.
Belhaven was aggressive right out of the gate, forcing Bron Adams into action throughout the first half. The Blazers had 9 shots in the first half, with Adams recording 4 saves. The Warriors attempted two shots before the half that were unsuccessful from Kaylee Fluger & Grace Sandoval.
The Blazers didn't let up as the second half started, attempting 3 shots in the first 3:30 minutes, finally getting one in at the 48:27 mark. The Warriors would answer back at the 53:45 mark with a goal by Madison Lampkin. Lampkin would strike again at the 67:09 mark thanks to the assist from Nori Pugh. The Warriors would hold on to win by a final score of 2-1.
The win brings the Warriors to an overall record of 6-3-5 before heading into their regular season finale against the Rhodes Lynx, where the Warriors will be celebrating Senior Day. Kick-off is expected to start at 3:00 PM, with Senior recognition starting roughly around 2:45 PM.
