Conway, Ark. - Hendrix was defeated 2-0 by Rhodes on Saturday night at Warrior Soccer Field to close out the 2024 conference season.
Goalkeeper
James Leone was shown a straight red card 8 minutes into the match for denial of a goal-scoring opportunity.
Wes Stull entered in relief of Leone, and did well to hold the Lynx scoreless until Rhodes found the opener in the 17th minute.
Rhodes tacked onto their lead late in the match, with the Warriors unable to mount a serious threat on the Lynx goal.
The loss drops Hendrix to 4-6-4 (1-3-2 SAA). They will host Ecclesia on Monday evening in a final nonconference tuneup before the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Men's Soccer Championship. Hendrix will enter the postseason as the 6th seed, and they will head to Sewanee on Saturday for a quarterfinal matchup with the Tigers.
