Jackson, Miss. - Hendrix defeated Millsaps 1-0 at Harper-Davis Field on Friday evening to open up conference play in the Southern Athletic Association (SAA).
With nine minutes gone in the first half,
Camy McKenzie swung in an in-swinging corner onto the head of
Anna Grace Eichenberger, who bulleted a header into the upper left corner to open the scoring. It was Eichenberger's first goal of the season.
The Warriors managed four shots in the first half, including the goal, while
Bron Adams was only called into action once in the first half.
Hendrix kept up the pressure in the second half, finishing the match with 8 shots on goal off of 15 total shots. Adams was forced into one save in the second half, but had a relatively quiet night in goal en route to Hendrix's second-consecutive clean sheet.
The Warriors have won three on the bounce, and will head to Georgia next Friday to take on Berry College.
