Batesville, Ark. - Hendrix men's basketball was defeated 86-73 by in-state foe Lyon on Thursday night.
Jaxon Herrera led the Warriors with 18 points and knocked down 4-of-8 long balls.
Caleb Squires contributed a season-high 15 points, and
Sky Tschurr also finished in double figures with 10 points.
The Warriors trailed by as many as 19 in the first half but rallied to trim Lyon's lead to 14 heading into halftime. Hendrix outscored the Scots 46-45 in what was a high-scoring second half but were unable to make up enough ground in the end as they dropped their third-consecutive game to open the 2024-25 season.
Hendrix (0-3) will remain on the road as they head to Marshall, Texas for a midweek context with East Texas Baptist next Tuesday.
