Box Score Conway, Ark. - Hendrix was defeated 67-54 by Austin College on Friday evening at Grove Gymnasium.

The Warriors opened the game in hot form as they jumped out to a 14-7 lead at the end of the first quarter. But the 'Roos could not be kept down for long as they outscored Hendrix 20-9 in the second frame to take a 27-23 lead into halftime.

Austin shot 3-of-6 from behind the arc in the third quarter and 7-of-14 from the field in the fourth quarter as they handled Hendrix in the second half and eased to a 13-point win. The Warriors turned the ball over 25 times compared to just 10 turnovers by the 'Roos.

Brailey Forst notched a third-consecutive double-double to open the season with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Shelby Heil finished with a season-high 12 points and gathered 7 rebounds. Also finishing in double-figures was Ava Knoedl with 10 points.

Hendrix (1-2) remains at home to host the University of Dallas on Sunday for a 2:00 PM tip-off at Grove Gymnasium.
