CONWAY - Hendrix was defeated 82-43 by Ozarks on Wednesday night in a rematch of their season opener.
Both teams traded points in the opening four minutes with Hendrix leading 7-6 after a
Tyler Deithloff layup. But the wheels would fall off from there as Ozarks exploded for 9 unanswered points to kick off a 17-3 scoring run. Ozarks would lead by as many as 20 in the first half and would take a 20-point lead into halftime.
The Warriors' woes continued into the second half as they were unable to make a dent in the Eagles' lead.
Deithloff led Hendrix with 14 points. He was the only Warrior to finish in double-figures.
Carson Bower scored 7 points and was 2-of-3 from behind the arc.
The Warriors shot a mere 24.1% from the field and just 27.3% from behind the arc.
Hendrix will now gear up for the conference season as they host Rhodes on January 8 at Grove Gymnasium.
