Warriors Make History in Shutout of MSJ

Delhi, Ohio - A week after a heartbreaking last-second loss versus the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy in St. Louis, Hendrix finally entered into the win column with a dominant 20-0 shutout win over Mount St. Joseph on Sunday afternoon.

It was the program's first shutout in recorded history, and the 20 goals is the most scored in a single game for the Orange and Black since their 23-3 win over the University of Dallas back in February 2022.

Peyton Refling netted a career-high eight goals along and two assists to finish the contest with ten points.

Alaina Palmer registered three assists and two goals to end the afternoon with five points.

Emma Woods and Addey Bolz each spent a half in goal and made three saves between them, with the former earning the decision.

Lillian Sonner caused a game-high three turnovers with three ground balls to go along with her four goals. In total, the Warriors caused sixteen turnovers as a team.

Hendrix was also dominant in the center circle, winning 17-of-23 draw controls.

The win improves the Warriors to 1-1 on the young season. They will head to Fond du Lanc, Wisconsin next Friday to face Marian, before a date with Illinois Tech the following Sunday.
