Conway, Ark. - Hendrix hosted Birmingham-Southern (BSC) for their regular season home finale at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium and dropped a 14-8 decision to the Panthers on Saturday afternoon.
The two sides traded goals in the first, with
Bennett Davidson and
Maximus LaMendola getting on the scoresheet to take a 2-2 score into the second period.
BSC fired in four unanswered goals in the second quarter before
Klaus Rowan got in among the goals with less than a minute to play to narrow the Panthers' lead to three heading into halftime.
Rowan opened the scoring in the second half to bring the deficit down to two.
Austin Williams and
Jet Long netted third quarter goals to keep the deficit at two heading into the final period of play.
Matthew Parsons and
Nick Quarles found the net late in the fourth quarter, but it would not be enough as the Panthers put six past the Warriors in the final 15 minutes to see out the game.
Rowan led the Warriors with three points on two goals and an assist.
Ian Domeika recorded 13 saves on 27 shots put on goal.
