Montgomery, Ala. - Hendrix put the breaks on a three-game losing skid with a dominant 20-4 win over Huntingdon on Saturday afternoon in Alabama.
Asia Mackey got the scoring started with just under thirty seconds played before adding another just minutes later on an extra-man opportunity.
With the score level at 2-2, the Warriors put five unanswered past the Hawks for a commanding 7-2 lead with goals from
Peyton Refling,
Alaina Palmer,
Eliza Thacker, and
Kinley Robinson.
After the Hawks tacked on another to cut the away side's lead to four, Hendrix then scored a staggering twelve unanswered goals to put the game to bed.
Mackey led the Warriors with a game-high nine points on four goals and five assists. Refling added five goals and an assist.
Robinson and Palmer each recorded four points, with the former registering a career-high four goals.
Thacker tallied a career-high three goals in the rout.
Addey Bolz started out in goal, making two saves after being called into action five times.
Emma Woods took over in goal in the second half and recorded two saves.
Of note, the twenty goals scored on Saturday marks the first time since 2019 that the Warriors have posted multiple 20+ goal games.
The win improves Hendrix to 3-4. They will return to Conway to host Centre next Saturday at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium.
