Memphis, Tenn. - Hendrix was defeated 16-3 by the Rhodes Lynx on Sunday afternoon at Crain Field in the Warriors' regular season finale.
After surrendering an early goal to the Lynx,
Nick Quarles netted the equalizer at the 7:03 mark to even the score at 1-1. However, that would be the only goal that Hendrix could muster in the first half as they went into the halftime interval trailing 7-1.
After going down 10-1 midway through the third quarter, Quarles was on the mark again for his second goal of the afternoon to trim Rhodes' lead to eight.
Ethan Miller scored early in the fourth quarter to make it 12-3, but it was too little, too late as Rhodes scored the final four goals of the contest to see off the win.
Ian Domeika recorded 24 saves in goal, while
Jake Nelson scooped up a game-high 5 ground balls.
Michael DeCaro ended the afternoon 10-23 on face-offs.
Up Next: Hendrix (5-9, 1-5 SAA) will now head to Berry to square off with the Vikings in the first round of the Southern Athletic Association playoffs after locking up the 6th overall seed. The Warriors dropped their home contest with Berry earlier this season in a tight 11-8 decision.
