Hendrix College Announces 2024 Hall of Honor Class

Conway, Ark. - Hendrix College has announced the 2024 class for the Hendrix College Sports Hall of Honor.

The college will induct its six newest members on Sept. 28 as part of Hendrix's Homecoming and Family Weekend Sept. 27-29. The Hendrix College Sports Hall of Honor banquet will be hosted in Worsham Hall at the Student Life and Technology Center (SLTC) on Hendrix's campus. The brunch will begin at 9:30 AM with the ceremony to follow.

Maribeth Garrison '64
Maribeth Garrison '64 earned induction into the Hendrix College Sports Hall of Honor after over sixty years of service, mentorship, and support for Hendrix College and the Conway community.

Garrison, a native of Brinkley, Arkansas, graduated from Hendrix in 1964 and was one of two freshmen maids on the 1960 Homecoming Court for the last Homecoming that Hendrix would sponsor until its return in 2024.

The wife of legendary men's basketball coach Cliff Garrison, Maribeth was a mentor, tutor, and supporter for numerous student-athletes while also  touching the lives of countless others through her decorated career as an educator.

 

John Thomas '86
John Thomas is one of the most decorated divers in the history of the Hendrix College Swim & Dive program.

He still holds the school record in three diving events -- the 11-dive 1-meter event, the 11-dive 3-meter event, and the 6-dive 3-meter competition -- all set in 1986.

Thomas won the 1985 and 1986 Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference championship in the 1-meter dive and the 3-meter dive, qualifying for the national meet in both years. He set AIC records in 1985 in the 1-meter dive and the 3-meter dive, and in the 3-meter dive in 1986.
 

Elizabeth Krug '14
Elizabeth Krug had one of the most decorated Track & Field career in program history after a phenomenal four-year run in which was named a four-time NCAA Division III All-American. In 2013, Krug won the NCAA Division III Heptathlon and was named an NCAA Division III Pentathlon All-American.

She was the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Women's Field Athlete of the Year in 2013 and 2014, and 2012 Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Women's Athlete of the Meet.

She holds Hendrix career records in six running events and four field events -- Indoor 200m, 400m, 800m, 55m hurdles, 60m hurdles, Long Jump and Heptathlon/Pentathlon and the Outdoor 200m, Long Jump, and Pole Vault.
 

Collin Radack '14
Collin Radack was a leader of the Hendrix Warrior Baseball team as a first-team All-Conference outfielder in all four of his years with the Warriors.

Collin was the 2014 Southern Athletic Association (SAA) Man of the Year and Player of the Year. In 2014, he was named to All-America, All-West Region, and All-Arkansas teams and was a Gold Glove winner and an Academic All-American. Collin holds the Hendrix school records for games started, runs scored, hits, triples, and steals, and is second in career doubles, third in batting average, sixth in slugging percentage, and on-base percentage.

He was drafted in the 20th round of the 2014 MLB Draft by the St. Louis Cardinals.
