FAITH JONES OF HENDRIX COLLEGE, a sophomore defensive specialist/libero on the women's volleyball team from Hot Springs, Ark., has been selected the SCAC Character & Community Female Student-Athlete of the Week for the week beginning October 27.

The SCAC Character & Community award honors the efforts of student-athletes who excel in the field of athletics, and also serve their campus and community.

Faith, who played in nine matches and recorded 46 digs and 7 points in 2024, is a sophomore planning on majoring in Health Sciences. She is a leader for Athletes in Action (AIA) and is also involved in the peer mentorship program for first-year students. 

As part of the peer mentorship program, Faith helps guide students to the resources they need while encouraging those with anxiety or questions about their first year of college. She serves as a mentor whom students can rely on to understand the demands and adjustments they face as college students and help them feel more empowered.

Off-campus, Faith is a member of New Life Church and their ministry, Elevation, here in Conway, as well as coaching club volleyball. 

Faith was named to the SAA Fall Academic Honor Roll last year.
