Canton, Ga. - On Monday, the Southern Athletic Association (SAA) announced its weekly Athlete of the Week awards, with Seth Hakanson winning Defensive Athlete of the Week in football for his performance against Huntingdon on Saturday.

The graduate student totaled 9 tackles in the Warriors' 31-28 win on Homecoming, the first Homecoming the college has sanctioned in 64 years. Hakanson recorded 1.5 tackles for loss for a total loss of 4 yards and got in on a sack. He also forced a fumble.

This is the first Athlete of the Week award for Hakanson. He and the Warriors will be on the road this weekend as they head to Memphis for an SAA showdown with Rhodes.
