Conway, Ark. - Hendrix has already made it a habit early this season of leaving it late, and Thursday night was no different.
Madison Lampkin's equalizer 7 seconds from time against the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff (UAPB) kept the Warriors' undefeated season going for another week.
Trailing 1-0 late,
Camy McKenzie intercepted a UAPB pass at midfield with 20 seconds to play and sprung
Brooke Woods loose to run at the UAPB back line. Woods found Lampkin with a clever pass, with the forward able to get the ball onto her right foot before curling in a wonderful strike into the top right corner to level the score.
Thursday night's match marked the first time that
Jeff Trimble's side has trailed all season, and in the end, the Warriors proved they were up to the task.
Bron Adams got the start in goal and produced three saves on the evening.
The Warriors registered 12 shots with 5 on goal.
Hendrix (2-0-1) now hits the road for the first time this season as they head to St. Louis to take on Webster on Saturday afternoon.
