Conway, Ark. - Hendrix dropped valuable points on Friday night with a 3-1 loss to Austin College at Warrior Soccer Field.
Austin went ahead inside of 8 minutes and never trailed on the night. The score remained 1-0 going into halftime, but the 'Roos doubled their advantage five minutes into the second half.
Tripp Ortega put Hendrix on the board in the 59th minute with a superb outside-the-box effort, assisted by
Jack White. The Warriors had a chance to equalize from the spot with twelve minutes remaining in regulation, but Hendrix's spot-kick was denied to keep the score at 2-1. Austin hit Hendrix on the counter in the 85th minute to add onto their lead and put the three points to bed.
Hendrix outshot the 'Roos 18-10 over the 90 minutes and forced 'Roo goalkeeper Patrick Bassett into 9 stops.
Gregorio Medina Armas made three saves on the night.
The loss drops Hendrix to 5-3-1 in league play. They currently sit fifth with 16 points, two points off of third place.
