Conway, Ark. - Hendrix kept its conference postseason hopes alive on Sunday with a 1-1 draw versus LeTourneau.
Minutes after the YellowJackets took the lead early in the second half,
Vivian Day was on the scene to smash in the rebound off a goal-line scramble to even the score and keep the Warriors in the match.
Hendrix outshot LeTourneau 11-5 with 10 of the Warriors' efforts on frame. The Warriors had a golden opportunity to take the lead and all three points, but were unable to convert from the spot after they won a penalty.
B Adams was forced into just one save over the 90 minutes, while Hendrix forced LeTourneau's Kinsey Fulks into several impressive saves to keep the score at 1-1.
The draw puts Hendrix level on points with Austin College, who they drew on Friday night. The Warriors currently sit in sixth place, with a win next Saturday guaranteeing them a berth in the SCAC tournament in a couple weeks.
