Conway, Ark. - Hendrix dominated Centenary 64-10 in the Warriors' 2025 home finale at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium.
The first quarter ended scoreless between the two teams, but Hendrix exploded to score 28 points in the second quarter and another 23 points in the third quarter to put the game well beyond doubt.
Jake Blice finished the evening 24-of-30 for 292 yards and two passing touchdowns.
Carter Devero entered in relief of Blice late in the contest and tossed two touchdowns of his own, including a 24-yard shot to
Samuel Meredith midway through the fourth quarter.
Auvic White scored his first of four touchdowns early in the second quarter, rounding out a 14-play, 80-yard drive with a one-yard score to put Hendrix on the board. Blice hit
Brooks McGee from 20 yards out with just under four minutes remaining on the half to put the Warriors up by two scores. With under a minute remaining, White added on to his tally with a five-yard reception for a touchdown, and Hendrix took advantage of a fumble on the ensuing kickoff return to score right before the half as White punched in his third touchdown with eleven seconds remaining.
Chandler Laurent forced the Gents into a safety midway through the third quarter to make it 37-0, and
Zechariah Moore scored from four yards out on the following possession to give Hendrix a 44-0 lead.
After the Gents got on the board with a field goal,
Jaedin Kim cribbed the ensuing kickoff with an electric 96-yard return for a score, his first-career touchdown return.
Devero's two touchdown tosses to
Beau Smith and Meredith rounded out the scoring for Hendrix on the night.
The Warriors out-rushed Centenary 157-62 on the night, totaling 512 yards of total offense.
Westin Bruce had another huge night receiving, hauling in 154 yards on 9 catches.
Hendrix limited Centenary to just 11 first downs, with the visitors converting on just three of fourteen third-down conversions.
Jayvian Coulter led the Warriors with 8 total tackles and a forced fumble. Both
Tristian Johnson and
Chandler Laurent recorded a sack, while
Ryan Maxwell recorded three pass break-ups.
Jared Roberson also recorded a forced fumble and one of six tackles-for-loss for Hendrix on the night.
The win improves Hendrix to 5-3 on the season and 3-1 in the SCAC. They will close the traditional regular season next Saturday in Abilene, with a berth into the SCAC championship game at War Memorial on the line when they take on McMurry in Texas.
