Danville, Ky. - Hendrix's men's and women's swimming and diving teams remained in their respective spots in the team standings after the second day of the SAA Swimming and Diving Championships.
The highlight of the day for the Water Warriors was in the 200 Yard Freestyle Relays. The women's team of Cece Werth,
Addi Heck,
Payton Pangburn, and
Emma Sampson-Green finished sixth in the championship final with a time of 1:49.12. The men's relay team of
Zane Shaner,
Nick Allen,
Diogo Sa, and
Tyler Hinrichsen finished fifth in the championship final with a time of 1:27.36. In the men's consolation final,
Owen Vennerholm,
Blake Cookson,
Elijah Eberhard, and
Konner Schneider finished 13th overall to win an additional 8 points for the Water Warriors.
In the Women's 500 Yard Freestyle Final, Cece Werth finished 9th with a time of 5:18.50.
Nick Allen finished 11th in the Men's 500 Yard Freestyle with a time of 4:54.96.
Elizabeth Barry won her team two points with a 15th-place finish in the Women's 200 Yard IM.
Konner Schneider came in 12th in the Men's 200 Yard IM with a time of 2:00.00 in his first career individual event at the championships.
Tyler Hinrichsen finished 15th in the Men's 50 Yard Freestyle (22.28).
After two days of competition, the women's team remains in sixth with 91 points, while the men maintained their fifth-place standing with 130 points.
