Conway, Ark. - Hendrix's men's basketball program fell to Centre 82-67 on Friday evening at Grove Gymnasium.
The Warriors kept the game close early in the first half, primarily due to

Jaxon Herrera's layup tied the game 20-20, the Colonels went on a 14-3 scoring run to take a 34-23 lead. Trailing 39-29 with under three minutes to play, Herrera nailed back-to-back triples to bring the Colonels to within four. Centre would go into halftime with a 41-35 lead after hitting a jumper at the buzzer.
The Warriors opened the second half with a 4-0 run to cut the lead to two, but with Centre leading 43-41 at the 17:05 mark, the Colonels went on an 11-0 scoring run to take a 13-point lead and never looked back. They led by as many as 23 in the second half and kept their foot on the gas down the stretch en route to a 15-point win.
Deithloff led all scorers with 25 points, shooting 10-of-16 from the field. Hendrix shot 39.7% from the field and 34.5% from behind the arc while shooting just 7-of-14 from the stripe.
