St. Louis, Mo. - Hendrix defeated the University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy on Friday afternoon in St. Louis.
Peyton Refling opened the scoring midway through the first quarter with an assist by
Eliza Thacker to put the Warriors up 1-0. After the Eutectics equalized early in the second quarter, Refling,
Samantha Shrader, and
Kinley Robinson combined for five goals on an unanswered scoring run to go up 6-1.
UHSP got a couple goals back late in the first half and early in the second half, but Refling and Shrader once again kicked off a massive scoring run in which Hendrix netted six unanswered goals to take a convincing 12-3 lead and effectively seal the match.
The Warriors won 11 of 19 draw controls.
Addey Bolz made 9 saves and won her third-consecutive decision in net.
Hendrix caused 4 turnovers defensively and scooped up 24 ground balls.
Hendrix has won three-consecutive games and will remain on the road to face Merredith on Sunday in Memphis.
