Memphis, Tenn. - Hendrix women's lacrosse was defeated 19-5 on Sunday afternoon by Meredith in a neutral site contest hosted by Rhodes.
The Warriors found themselves down 2-0 early before
Eliza Thacker took advantage of a man-up opportunity to halve the deficit. Trailing 3-1,
Kinley Robinson got on the scoresheet at the 9:26 mark with a goal assisted by
Samantha Shrader.
The Avenging Angels then scored seven unanswered goals to take a 10-2 lead before
Peyton Refling stopped the bleeding with an unassisted goal with 6:27 remaining in the half. Meredith tacked on two more goals before halftime.
Refling was back among the goals with five minutes left in the third period to make it 15-4. She would score a consolation goal late in the fourth quarter to complete the hat trick.
Addey Bolz recorded 19 saves on the afternoon, her most this season in the net.
The loss take takes Hendrix to 3-2 on the year. They will return to Conway this week to host Anderson and Missouri Valley for a couple of midweek non-conference contests.
