Memphis, Tenn. - Hendrix men's basketball suffered a 103-68 loss at the hands of Rhodes on Wednesday night at Mallory Gymnasium.
The Warriors fell behind 19-9 early but were able to keep Rhodes within reach through the later stages of the first half. Down 34-25 with 5:31 remaining in the half,
Houston Likens drained three triples in as many minutes to help Hendrix pull to within 5 at the 3:13 mark. Sky Tshcurr's layup with 1:22 remaining made it a 40-35 ball game, but the Lynx would close the half on a 6-0 run to take an 11-point lead into halftime.
Tschurr nailed a three eight seconds into the second half to cut the deficit to single-digits, but the Lynx would then hit back-to-back threes to reassert their dominance to kick-start a 28-12 scoring run that put Rhodes up 74-50 by the second media timeout of the half. The Lynx kept their foot on the gas down the stretch and never looked back en route to a 35-point victory.
Tschurr led the Warriors with 14 points.
Tyler Deithloff finished with 13 points, while Likens tallied 12 points on 4-of-6 shooting from behind the arc.
Hendrix shot 41.7% from the field and a whopping 52.6% from 3PT range, but struggled against a Rhodes team that was 40-of-70 from the field and outscored the Warriors 52-26 in the paint.
Hendrix (2-20, 0-9 SAA) will remain on the road this weekend as they head to Jackson, Mississippi for a rematch with Millsaps.
