Suwanee, Ga. - On Monday, the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference released its 2025 Preseason Poll, with Hendrix slotting in at third in the preseason voting.

The poll was conducted among the league's six head coaches. The complete poll is as follows:

1.      Texas Lutheran – 33 (3)
2.      McMurry – 32 (2)
3.      Hendrix – 22
4.      Centenary – 18 (1)
5.      Austin College – 12
6.      Lyon – 9

Hendrix opens up the season on September 6 versus Maryville (Tenn.), who is coming off a 9-2 season in 2024 and a first-round NCAA playoff win over Berry (Ga.). The Warriors will begin conference play on October 11 as they host Austin College at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium on Homecoming Weekend.

Jacob Buniff returns for his third year as the Warriors' chief signal caller. The senior has racked up 5,823 yards and 50 touchdowns in 22 games played and currently ranks 9th in active passing leaders in all of NCAA Division III.
