NORTHBROOK, Ill. (September 16, 2025) — Allstate and the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) today announced the 2025 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team®, honoring 22 college football players and one head coach for their extraordinary commitment to community service. Among the recipients of this tremendous honor is Hendrix's
Auvic White.
"I'm honored to receive this award," said White. "While it is a tremendous honor to be the first player from Hendrix to be named to the Good Works team, I am more proud of the fact that this award celebrates virtue rather than on-field success, which is vital for me as a follower of Christ. Displaying His character, nature and love means everything to me, which makes this award so much more significant to me."
Alongside his status as a student-athlete at Hendrix, White serves as a full-time minister, balancing a 3.0+ GPA with much of his free time being dedicated towards his service through Athletes in Action. He leads campus outreach, Bible studies and discipleship for over 600 athletes, and has raised $12,000 for AIA's mission and regularly shares his story at churches and events.
"Auvic is incredibly deserving of the Good Works team," said head football coach Buck Buchanan. "He is unwavering in his commitment to others and has an uncommon passion for service and leadership. Auvic is a wonderful representative of our program and Hendrix College, and this honor is a testimony to his selflessness and love for others."
This year's team was selected from a record 195 nominees, submitted by college sports information directors and coaches nationwide, spotlighting student-athletes who lead with purpose, from fighting substance abuse to creating opportunities for youth and families. The Good Works team was selected by a panel of former Good Works team members, head coaches, and journalists. The full team roster and their stories of community service can be found at ESPN.com/Allstate.
