Colorado Springs, Co. - Hendrix suffered its first defeat in league play on Sunday afternoon with a 7-0 drubbing at the hands of Colorado College.
The Tigers scored the opener eleven minutes into the match and doubled their lead just inside of thirty minutes. They would add another six minutes later to take a 3-0 lead into halftime.
Colorado added four more goals in the second half to put a stamp on what was a comfortable match for the hosts.
Hendrix recorded six shots on the afternoon, with
Jensen Pechar and
Josh Montgomery both able to place shots on frame.
Gregorio Medina Armas got the start in goal and recorded one save before an injury 14 minutes into the match forced him to make way for
Marcelo Ramirez. Ramirez made five saves in his 76 minutes of action.
The loss drops Hendrix to 2-4-1, 1-1-0 SCAC. They will remain on the road this upcoming week for a pair of away matches to Concordia Texas and Texas Lutheran.
