Conway, Ark. - Two goals from
Kaylee Fluger and a late goal from
Madison Lampkin were enough to complete Hendrix's comeback effort over Central Baptist on Thursday night at Warrior Soccer Field.
Central Baptist went ahead midway through the first half via the spot after
B Adams committed a foul inside the box.
The Warriors equalized from the spot seven minutes later. Fluger saw her initial effort saved but was able to score off the rebound for her first goal of the season.
Hendrix earned another spot-kick fifteen minutes from time, with Fluger converting successfully on the first try. Lampkin gave Hendrix a third on the brink of full time after
Laramie Cox played her through on goal.
Besides the Mustangs' spot-kick, the Warriors did not allow a shot on goal as
B Adams was never threatened.
Hendrix (2-1) now gets a week's rest before hosting the Millsaps Majors on Friday, September 12 at Warrior Soccer Field.
