St. Louis, MO – The Warriors made the drive to St. Louis to compete in matches against Principia & Greenville University.
Principia (W, 6-1):
Wesley McClure and
James Thomson got the action started early, winning the #1 doubles 6-3.
Maximilian Henderson and
Robinson Wright would clinch the doubles point, getting the win 6-1.
The Warriors would win five of the six matches in the singles matches with
Wesley McClure winning the #1 singles (6-1, 6-2).
James Thomson would take the #2 singles (7-5, 6-0).
Santiago Perez would win the #4 singles (6-0, 6-0).
Rowan McCollum won the #5 singles (6-1, 6-0).
Matias Ancieta would close things out, winning the #6 singles (6-0, 6-0).
Greenville (W, 5-2):
McClure and Thomson would pick up the early lead in the #1 doubles winning 6-4, but that would show to be the lone doubles win of the match.
The Warriors would respond winning five of the six matches in singles competition to win the matchup against Greenville. McClure would take the #1 singles (6-3, 7-5). Thomson would continue the momentum, winning the #2 singles (7-5, 6-1).
Maximilian Henderson won the #3 singles in a tightly contested contest (4-6,6-4, 7-6).
Santiago Perez would take the #4 singles (6-1, 6-1).
Matias Ancieta would win the long #6 singles match (6-4, 7-5, 7-6, 7-4).
The wins move the Warriors to 3-1 on the season. Hendrix will be back in action in Conway on Feb. 19
th taking on Freed-Hardeman.
