WBB | Warriors Advance to SCAC Championship Game with Win Over Colorado College

Conway, Ark. - Hendrix advanced to Sunday's SCAC Championship Game with a 54-42 win over Colorado College on Saturday night at Grove Gymnasium.

Chloey-Rei Brown led all scorers with 17 points after turning in a career-night in the previous game against McMurry. The freshman finished 6-of-16 from the field and 5-of-6 from the line.

It was a vintage performance for Riley Brady, who logged her 22nd double-double of the year with 16 points and 23 rebounds. The 2025-26 SCAC Player of the Year gathered 10 rebounds on the offensive end and contributed 4 steals on the defensive end. Her 23 rebounds set a new single-game rebounding record for the conference tournament.

Brailey Forst also put together a complete performance on Saturday, recording 6 points, 9 rebounds, 3 blocks, 2 assists, and 2 steals.

The lead changed hands four times on the evening, with Colorado College only leading on two possessions after a couple of early buckets. The Tigers entered the tournament with just one loss on the year and defeated Hendrix in their first matchup back in January, but it was the hosts who got revenge despite poor shooting from both teams. Hendrix shot just over 16% from behind the arc, but benefited from CC shooting just over 11% from deep.

After CC took a 5-4 lead, Brooklyn Rowe's three-ball gave the lead back to Hendrix, a lead they would be able to hang on to for the rest of the night. Riley Brady's layup with 4:42 remaining in the first half gave Hendrix a nine-point advantage, and her layup thirty seconds later gave the Warriors their largest lead of the night at 12.

With 00:56 remaining in the contest, Brown sank two free throws from the stripe to put Hendrix up by 10, and two more from the line ten seconds later put the game beyond reach for the Tigers.

Hendrix is back in the SCAC Championship game in their first game back in the conference, having made their last appearance in 2011 with an 80-71 to DePauw. The Warriors will face the winner of Austin College-Texas Lutheran tomorrow afternoon. Tip-off will be approximately 2:00 PM at Grove Gymnasium.
