CONWAY - This weekend's schedule for the 2026 Hendrix women's flag football home openers has been adjusted.

Hendrix will now play a doubleheader with Huntingdon College on Saturday morning starting at 10:00 AM, with the second game slated to kick off at approximately 11:30 AM. The Warriors will no longer play Schreiner University, who had to back out of this weekend's event.

Saturday's doubleheader will mark the first-ever organized intercollegiate women's flag football games in the state of Arkansas. The women's flag football program is competing as a club sport this season before transitioning to varsity status in the 2026-27 academic year, when the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference will begin sponsoring the sport. Women's flag football achieved Emerging Sport status from the NCAA during the annual NCAA convention this past January.

Admission is free at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium for this weekend's doubleheader. The games will also be streamed live on the Warriors Sports Network presented by Hudl's Team1Sports.
