Austin, Texas - Hendrix dropped their series to Concordia Texas over the weekend in Austin, losing each game in run-rule fashion.
Game 1 (L, 18-3)
Emerson Naismith's RBI triple to score
Emmaline Trosclair was the only RBI of the series opener for Hendrix. Naismith and Austyn Caudle scored the other two runs on double steal attempts that the Tornadoes were unable to defend. Hendrix registered four hits total in Game 1.
Game 2 (L, 17-2)
The Warriors struck first in the second half of Friday's doubleheader as they loaded the bases with no outs with a Naismith lead-off single and a
Kaycee Schoen hit-by-pitch, but Hendrix could only squeeze two runs out of the situation. Both runs came on bases-loaded fielder's choices as Concordia Texas worked their way out of the jam with minimal damage done. Those two runs would be the lone runs scored in Game 2 for Hendrix.
Emma Salis (L, 2-10) struck out four hitters in her 1.2 IP start.
Game 3 (L, 11-2)
Hendrix got on the board early in Game 3 as they did in Game 2, as
Bell Jaramillo's one-out single set the table for
Kaycee Schoen, who blasted a two-run homer to left field to put the Warriors up 2-0.
Concordia Texas answered back with a three-spot in the home first and held the Warriors scoreless from there on. Schoen went 2-for-3 at the plate to record the only multi-hit game of the weekend for Hendrix.
