CONWAY - Caroline Lasley and Josie Leffingwell have been named the SCAC Women's Doubles Team of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.

Lasley and Leffingwell swept through the No. 1 doubles spot against Texas Lutheran and Concordia Texas, helping Hendrix to a weekend split and a berth into the SCAC championships next week in Kerrville, Texas.

On Friday, the duo defeated TLU's Lucero Alvarado and Adison Ortega 6-2, and followed that up with a 7-6 (6-0) win over Concordia's Aria Moreni and Johanna Winkler the next day. In league play this season, the pairing went 5-2 in the No. 1 doubles spot to help Hendrix to a 6-4 record in the SCAC.

Lasley and Leffingwell will lead Hendrix into next weekend's SCAC quarterfinal matchup versus the hosts and fourth-seeded Schreiner Mountaineers.
