KERRVILLE, Texas — The second-seeded Hendrix Warriors fell to the three-seed Concordia Texas in a close 4-3 match on Saturday in the men's SCAC semifinall. The Warriors captured wins in the No. 2 and No. 6 singles positions and secured a victory in the No. 1 doubles match.
Hendix started strong at No. 1 doubles, where Wesley McClure and James Thomson defeated Rowan Daniel and Diego Garcia, 6-1. However, Concordia secured the doubles point with victories at No. 3 doubles, where Stephen Scholz and Jake Riggs posted a 6-2 win over Max Henderson and Robinson Wright, and at No. 2 doubles, as Aaron Griffin and Kade Talbot overcame Rowan McCollum and Cason Cole, 6-3.

In singles, the Warriors attempted a comeback, beginning with Thomson's win at No. 2 singles where he defeated Daniel Beckles, 6-2, 6-1. Henderson then added to their tally with a three-set victory at No. 3 singles, overcoming Aaron Griffin, 7-5, 6-7(5), 2-0. Concordia responded at No. 1 singles when Scholz beat McClure, 6-4, 6-4.

Concordia widened the margin with a win at No. 5 singles as Daniel defeated Jaakko Keulen, 6-4, 6-2, and further solidified its lead at No. 6 singles, with Matias Ancieta's 6-4, 6-2 victory over Garcia. The match concluded at No. 4 singles, where Talbot edged Santiago Perez to end Hendrix's postseason run.
