CONWAY - Hendrix fell to 1-2 in the Southern Athletic Association on Wednesday evening with a 24-4 loss to Rhodes at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium.
Hendrix held off the visitors for half of the opening quarter before the Lynx eventually got on the board at the 8:30 mark. The Warriors proceeded to allow five more in the period, but
Joey Davis netted Hendrix's first a minute into the second quarter to get Hendrix off the mark.
Nick Pesce and
Ethan Miller also netted second-quarter goals, but were unable to keep pace with the Lynx, who took a 13-3 lead into halftime.
Matthew Parsons earned his second point of the match with an unassisted goal late in the fourth quarter to make 23-4.
Cooper Littleton made 18 saves over his 51 minutes in the cage.
Kellan Harger made 4 saves in relief of Littleton.
Defensively, Pesce caused three Lynx turnovers, and
Dominic Vinnola and
Luke Crystal each accounted for two caused turnovers.
Hendrix (2-7, 1-2 SAA) remains at home to host Southwestern on Satrurday for a 12:00 PM start at Young-Wise Memorial Stadium.
