CONWAY, Ark. - Hendrix lost to Rhodes 3-0 on Friday evening in a meeting of former Southern Athletic Association rivals. The Warriors were able to put two of their four shots on goal but faced on offensive onslaught from the Lynx.
Kennedy Lewis recorded nine saves in 90 minutes, making six in the first half and three in the second.
Chloe Peters finished with two shots, putting one on goal.
Kaylee Fluger put her lone shot on goal.
The Warriors kept Rhodes off the board in the first half despite sustained pressure, as Lewis made six saves. The Warriors put two shots on goal, with Fluger's attempt early in the half and Peters' chance midway through both saved by Lauren Hollis. The two sides went into halftime level, thanks in part to three outstanding saves from Lewis.
The Warriors held Rhodes off during an early second-half push, with Lewis saving Annie Cimino's 54:02 shot amid a stretch that included two shots and a corner before Rhodes went in front on Ella Mullally's goal in the 58th minute.
