CONWAY, Ark. — Hendrix lost to Millsaps 2-0 on Friday night at Warrior Soccer Field. The Warriors put five of their six shots on goal but were unable to find a breakthrough.
Cameron Joniec recorded eight saves in 90 minutes, making three in the first half and five in the second.
Josh Montgomery led the Warriors with two shots and put both attempts on goal.
The Warriors went to halftime trailing 1-0 after Millsaps' Ellis Dykes scored at 16:53. Joniec made three saves in the half, while the Warriors generated pressure with three corner kicks from 13:28 to 14:41 and two more before
Ignacio Arias' saved shot in the 42nd minute.
After Millsaps' Braden Walters scored in the 56th minute to make it 2-0, the Warriors were unable to answer. Joniec kept the Warriors within that scoreline with five second-half saves, and the Warriors generated looks from Montgomery,
Aiden Turner and
Ayden Garay that were all saved.
The loss drops Hendrix to 0-3-1. The Warriors remain home to host Belhaven on Sunday at Warrior Soccer Field.
