CONWAY, Ark. - Hendrix lost to Ouachita Baptist 3-0 on Wednesday evening at Warrior Soccer Field. The Warriors were held to five shots, including just one on goal, while Ouachita Baptist scored all three goals in the second half.
Cameron Joniec recorded five saves while playing all 90 minutes in goal. Joan Puigpinos led the Warriors with two shots.
Tripp Ortega put his lone shot on goal.
The Warriors kept Ouachita Baptist off the board in the first half behind two saves from Joniec. Puigpinos took two shots in the 19th minute, and
Josh Montgomery added another attempt later in the half. The half ended scoreless, with the Warriors recording three shots and two corner kicks.
The Warriors were held off the scoreboard in the second half as Ouachita Baptist scored three times, starting with Cody Tice's penalty kick in the 63rd minute. Ortega put a shot on frame early in the half, and
Dylan Cruthers added an attempt in the 82nd minute, while Joniec made three saves after halftime. Ouachita Baptist added goals from Philip Bolk and Evan Cristler to close out a 3-0 result.
Up next, the Warriors get a week off before hosting Millsaps College on Friday, Sept. 18, at Warrior Field.
