Andrew Thames

Andrew Thames enters his fourth season as Hendrix head men's and women's golf coach in 2021-22. He also serves as the business finance manager for the department of intercollegiate athletics.

Thames has worked for 10 years at his alma mater in various roles, serving as assistant baseball coach for five seasons (2013-16, 2018), director of wellness and athletics facilities for six years (2015-21) and coordinator of intramurals and outdoor recreation for three years (2012-15).

Thames played catcher for four seasons (2009-12) for the Warriors, helping Hendrix win the 2009 SCAC Tournament title and earn a berth in the advanced to the West Regional of the NCAA tournament. Thames appeared in 128 games in his career, hitting 0.294 with 50 runs, 106 hits, 26 doubles, two triples, three home runs, 80 RBIs and 10 stolen bases. Thames ranked second in program history with a 0.982 fielding percentage. 
 
Thames also excelled in the classroom, earning a CoSIDA/Capital One Academic All-District honor as a senior.

Thames earned a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology from Hendrix in 2012.

Thames, a Springdale, Ark. native, attended Har-Ber High School.
