Jeff Howeth joined the Warrior football staff as the defensive line coach in 2016. He took over as the strength & condition coordinator and inside linebackers coach for the 2017 season.

In 2016, the Warriors garnered their first national ranking, making it as high as #22 in the D3football.com Top 25 Poll. Hendrix went 7-3 and and ranked 41st in the nation in tackles for loss.

Howeth coached two All-Southern Athletic Association First Team selections in 2016.

Howeth was a graduate assistant coach at Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Okla. during the 2015. He coached the Riverhawks' running backs while at NSU.

Howeth played for Southwest Assemblies of God University in Waxahachie, Texas as a senior and was apart of their first ever winning season. From 2009-12, he played for Northwest Missouri State in Maryville, Mo. and was apart of the 2009 NCAA Division II national championship team.

Howeth, from Dallas, played for Highland Park High School, where he was a two-time All-District safety and an All-State Honorable Mention as a senior. He was selected to the Texas High School Coaches Association All-Star Game and played in the Texas vs. Oklahoma Oil Bowl. Howeth helped HPHS to a state runner-up finish with a 15-1 record.

Howeth graduated from SAGU in 2014 with a degree in Education.
