Josh Montgomery returns for his fourth season at the Warriors' defensive line coach.

In 2015, Montgomery helped lead the Warriors to a Southern Athletic Association championship with an 8-3 overall record and a trip to the NCAA Division III Playoffs. He also coached All-SAA First Team defensive end Tyler Clifton.

In 2014, the Warriors improved to a 6-4 record in just their second year since bringing back the program.

Montgomery came to Hendrix with head coach Buck Buchanan from Louisiana College where he was a four-year letterman. Montgomery was an All-American Southwest Conference Defensive Lineman as well as a three time All-Academic selection for the Wildcats.

Montgomery was a pivotal leader in the best senior class in LC history. His class was the first to never experience a losing season, won more games than any other class in school history, won the most conference games in history, and achieved the first AFCA and D3football.com national rankings for the program.
 
Montgomery was the sole senior starting on the Wildcat defensive line which anchored a defense that ranked in the top two in almost every defensive statistic in the American Southwest Conference as well as being ranked nationally in tackles for loss, sacks, third down defensive efficiently and takeaways. 

He graduated from Louisiana College in 2011 with a degree in Accounting. He received his Masters in Accounting from Hendrix in 2014. 

Montgomery married former Hendrix basketball standout Katy Ashley-Pauley in May 2016.
