Zach Sloan joins the Hendrix football staff as an outside linebackers coach for the 2015 season.
In 2015, Sloan helped lead the Warriors to a Southern Athletic Association championship with an 8-3 overall record and a trip to the NCAA Division III Playoffs. He coached one All-SAA Honorable Mention at outside linebacker.
Sloan comes to Hendrix from Mississippi College in Jackson where he played linebacker and defensive line for the Choctaws. He was a member of the 2009 MC team that won the American Southwest Conference championship.
In high school, Sloan played on the defensive line for White Hall in Arkansas. He was named All-State Honorable Mention and a team captain his senior year and helped White Hall win their first conference championship in 30 years.
Sloan earned his Bachelor of Sciences degree in Communications from MC in 2013 while minoring in coaching. He is currently pursuing his master’s degree in teaching at UCA and is married to his wife Rachel.
