Jonathan Batres joined the Hendrix coaching staff in the spring of 2019 after six successful coaching years at the high school level. Batres guided Kaufman High School to back-to-back Area Championships in 2015 and 2016. Batress initially served as the technolgy contact for Kaufman and also the men's and women's varsity assistant soccer coach in 2013 before transitioning to junior varsity head men's soccer coach in 2014. Batres served as the head men's soccer coach from 2015 to 2019.
Batres obtained his Bachelor of Arts (History) from Ouachita Baptist in 2013 with a minor in Coaching.
Batres also served as a football assistant coach for Kaufman. Batres served as the freshman offensive play-caller from 2015-17 before working with the running backs and leading Kaufman to become a regional finalist in 2017 and 2018.
